Zimbiri

Born 1991, from Thimphu

I was born and raised in Bhutan, finished my undergrad from Wheaton College, MA, with a double major in Economics and Fine Arts.

My first exhibition, Faces, was the first solo exhibition by a female artist in Bhutan. It was about people and their way of coping with society by wearing different ‘Faces’. I am currently working on a series of paintings that are an exploration of traditional Bhutanese paint (saa- tshen) and imagery
