Born 1996, from Samdrup Jongkhar

I graduated with a degree in Public Health from Asian University for Women, Bangladesh.

Art has always been a big part of my life, an outlet for expression that transcends words. VAST Bhutan has helped in my journey of becoming an artist in that sense. The varieties of techniques I have learned and continue to learn from the members of VAST are abundant. Learning to use different tools, techniques and materials is a source of endless fascination for me. It takes me quite a long time to complete an artwork. Each day I paint with the changes in emotions and thoughts and each day a newer work comes about which makes me feel very attached to what I create. I don’t put much detail in my artwork, but I plan to learn as much from my fellow artists who have graduated from art colleges. I like painting portraits to accept our vanity and also because a moment or an expression can be captured permanently, whereas, in reality, it is ever-changing.
