Jharna Monger
Born 1996 , from Sarpang
I graduated in Applied Arts from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, India in 2020 with the VAST Bhutan art scholarship.
I love doing portraits and landscapes but also enjoy illustrations and design. Painting landscapes gives me peace and takes me to my happy place. I enjoy painting portraits of elderly people and young children, I find that they are the most unselfconscious in their expressions of emotion, which is what I want to capture in my work. I would like to be known as a realistic artist as I love to do detailed work and have a lot of patience. I want my work to bring peace and happiness to people.
