As a child, I was told by adults to avoid bad things and as long as I focus on the good things, life will be good. “Harmony Within Pain,” tells us how people give birth to the idea of perfect existence. The painting portrays how everything in nature needs an opposing force in order for harmony to exist.

As a child, I was always surrounded by art, most of which were paintings by my grandfather. I don’t have many memories of him as he passed away while I was very young but his paintings always made me feel a connection to him. I was fascinated by the concept of how impactful a person could be through their art work and this inspired me to leave my own message for the generations to come. Our country, Bhutan is deeply rooted within its culture and as an artist it is my dream to be able to contribute to the rich and beautiful history of art in Bhutan.
