Proud as a Peacock

Art Description

Inspired by the Buddha of God Realm carrying a guitar as antidote to ego.
As the Bhutanese saying goes “As proud as the peacock”. One must understand that pride and ego itself is still an emotion even though it manifests itself as bright and beautiful sometimes.

Pema Tshering (Tintin)

Born 1985, from Thimphu

A Bhutanese contemporary artist for over 19 years, I am popularly known as Tintin. I like to re-examine Buddhist and Bhutanese concepts, freeing them from their expected, familiar contexts and reframing their meaning.
