The painting celebrates the joy of being alive, each person holding something significant within themselves and to our existence. This is represented here by 12 astrological animals of Bhutanese astrology (similarities with Tibetan and Chinese) where every person is born in a year, element, and characteris- tic. There is movement and interpersonal interaction.
