Innocence

Art Description

Three young boys having a happy ride on a handsome ceremonial yak during an annual yak festival in my village in eastern Bhutan. It must have been sometime in the early 1990s. One of the boys waves a silk scarf as they celebrate the ride, either waving goodbye or waving a hearty welcome. They must have felt a sense of healing as it painting them certainly was healing for me.

Art has been a part of my very being since I was a young girl. Though I haven’t had any sort of professional training, I have been able to keep learning by engaging myself in it, whenever my interest and time allows me.

I loved learning more about producing art pieces, aided by my own gifted talent. I initially started off with pencil sketches and gradually ventured into oils. I feel that no matter how far my passion takes me (or not) , I shall always remain an artist in my heart.
