Jigme Choden Tsho
Born 1987, from Lhuntse
VAST Bhutan introduced me to the world of art and what lies beyond. Holding a paintbrush or a sketch pencil would make me uncomfortable because I didn’t trust my own skills. But VAST Bhutan has been giving me the space to be comfortable with what I am uncomfortable with. That is how I always paint. First, I get really anxious and once I start, I am drawn into the process and it helps me bring the creativity I am afraid of unravelling. I am healing even in my most challenging and uncomfortable times.
