Dorji Thinley

Born 1985 from Mongar

I was born and brought up in eastern part of Bhutan Khengkhar, where inborn talent in traditional arts and crafts is celebrated. I was really keen to learn and was fortunate to get enrolled in Kengkhar Primary School, where basic skills in traditional arts and crafts were taught back then.

I completed PHD in Buddhist Philosophy after completing my primary school. During pursuing my PHD I approached various masters to learn traditional arts and traditional calligraphy, which helped me to improve my skills.

I am interested in arts because It keeps my mind focused.
